I couldn’t figure this one out either for the longest time. As it turns out, I had one tiny little unnecessary line of code that really didn’t need to be there turning every picture 500px. It should work now, and you can get the updated code here.
Yes, unfortunately I don’t have the automatic pages to links feature enabled (I actually don’t know how to do that?) so you’ll have to put in the links to each page manually. If you need help doing that, just let me know.
The photos on the theme sidebars do not come with the theme, you have to upload them yourself.
It should look something more or less like this upon installation:
You can then upload the sidebars here:
Just click on the upload buttons, and it’ll let you select the pictures you would like. You can find the two I used here.
If you have any more questions, just let me know!
The pagination buttons are a + and a - located on the left sidebar. They’re sort of hard to see (I should probably fix that), but this is where they are on your blog. I highlighted for convenience.
Looking at your page, your problem is the way you have inputted the links. The thing with tumblr is that unless otherwise stated, it redirects all links to your page. Therefore, you don’t have to put in your url before the “/page” part. If you do that, it’ll just read it as “http://deansburningwings.tumblr.com/deansburningwings.tumblr.com/page”
You can literally just input “/page” and it’ll work.
However, the other option, if you want it to link to something outside of your page, is to add “http://” before the url (for example, if you want it to link to the official Doctor Who tumblr for whatever reason, you would write “http://doctorwho.tumblr.com/” and tumblr would read it as an external link. You can use this method for linking to your own blog, but it can get sort of complicated, and if you choose to change your url, you’ll have to update the links. (The first method keeps internal links directed to your blog, regardless of the url).
I know it sounds sort of complicated, but this is how both methods should look:
If this didn’t make sense or you have any more questions, just let me know.
You’re in luck! I couldn’t find the original images on my computer (I took a still and edited it into the two sidebars), but I did manage to get them out of the source code.
Aw, thank you so much! I’m glad you like them.
Thank you! I didn’t think it was that hard to find. There’s just the one link to take you straight to it.
